Run Forrest Run! Gump Impersonator Jogs Around Riverside

People wearing Halloween costumes are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. That's something residents in Riverside have recently discovered.

A man dressed as Forrest Gump has been running around neighborhoods in Riverside and stopping to take pictures with residents.

Sporting a mangy (fake) beard, red shorts, and a red "Bubba Gump" hat, the Gump impersonator been spotted jogging around the city similar to how Tom Hanks' character in the Oscar-winning movie spends part of the film running across the country.

Riverside police posted a photo and video of the would-be Gump on their Facebook page, with one caption apologizing for losing the 'suspect' in a foot pursuit.

The man, who only identified himself as "Forrest Gump" to reporters, added that it "doesn't really matter" who he is. He says his runs are "just something that took off and made the community happy, made people smile."

Halloween brings out the best in people. And that's all I've got to say about that.
